Tunisia Flag Crochet

 

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum, welcome back to my blog. Today is a subscriber requested video. It was requested by Nour Kortas. Thank you dear, for giving me this opportunity. It made me really happy to do it. She asked for both Tunisia & Algeria flag. Now I just finished Tunisia Flag. Hope to come up with Algeria flag soon.

So without further delay, let's begin.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

slst- slip stitch

SC2Tog - Single Crochet 2 Together

DC2Tog - Double Crochet 2 Together

Hooks used:

hook: 3 mm for red field & white sun-disc

hook :2 mm for crescent

hook : 1 mm for star

Written Pattern:

"Red Field"

Step 1 : Slipknot followed by chain 21 .

Step 2 : 1 SC on the 2nd chain from hook.

Step 3 : Continue doing 1 SC on each chain till end of row.

Step 4 : ch 1 & turn.

Step 5 : 1 Sc on each stitch till end of row.

Step 6 : chain 1 & turn.

Step 7 : Repeat steps 5 & 6 for a total of 12 rows.

Step 8 : ch 1 , cut off yarn & sew.

Step 9 : Red field part is ready!!!

"White sun-disc" 

Step 1 : Magic ring, followed by 8 SCs in that ring.

Step 2 : slst to the 1st SC.

Step 3 : Pattern : 2 SCs in each stitch. Slst at end of row.

Step 4 : Pattern : 1 Sc, 2 SCs, 1 SC,... till end of row & slst.

Step 5 : Pattern : 1 Sc, 1 SC, 2 Scs, 1 Sc,... till end of row & slst at end.

Step 6 : Chain 1, cut off yarn & sew.

Step 7 : White sun-disc part is ready.

"Crescent"

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chain 16.

Step 2 : 1 slst on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th chains from hook.

Step 3 : 1 Sc on the next chain.

Step 4 : 1 HDC on the next.

Step 5 : 2 DCs in the next same stitch.

Step 6 : 1 Dc in the next.

Step 7 : 2 DCs in the next.

Step 8 : Repeat steps 6 to 2 in the reverse order.

Step 9 : chain 1, cut off yarn & sew.

Step 10 : Crescent is ready!!!

"Star"

Step 1 : Magic Ring, followed by 10 SCs.

Step 2 : slst to the 1st Sc.

Step 3 :( chain 3, slst on the 2nd chain from hook, slst to the next stitch, slst again to the next stitch)*5 times.

Step 4 : chain 1, cut off  yarn & sew.

Step 5 : Star is ready!!!

Step 6 : Glue/Sew them all together.

Step 7 : Tunisia Flag is ready !!!!
