Hair Clip Crochet

 

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. As I am in Kuwait, and the National and Liberation Days are nearing, thought to do this hair clip crochet, with the theme of Kuwait Flag colours. It was quite challenging, as I had to do the base in black, which was asked so by my daughter too. Visually showing the crochet with black was hard. Hope you can understand my situation. Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

hook : 2.5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 :  Slipknot

Step 2 : slst to the snap clip.

Step 3: Make 15 SCs on one side.

Step 4 : ch 3.

Step 5 : Make 17 SCs in the other side. Slst to the 1st SC.

Step 6 :( ch 2, 1 SC in next stitch)*repeat pattern till end of row.

Step 7 : slst at end. ch 1, cut off yarn and sew ends.

Step 8 : Flowers: slipknot, followed by ch 4.

Step 9 : 3 DCs on the last chain from hook.

Step 10 : ch 3 and slst to the same space.

Step 11 : repeat the same pattern for 2 more petals.

Step 12 : ch 1, cut off yarn & sew ends.

Step 13 : Repeat the pattern for 2 more flowers.

Step 14 : Attach them all.

Step 15 : Your clip ready!!!
