South Africa Flag Crochet

 


Hi friends, asslamu alaikkum. Today we will see a flag,South Africa , which was a requested video. It was said that no patterns were available for now. So thought it was a great honor and someone really trusted me to do this flag. Due to some personal commitments, delayed a little. 

So why delay, let's dive in.

Crochet Terminology:
sl st - slip stitch 
sc- single crochet 
dc- double crochet 
tr- treble crochet 
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain
 
hook : 3.5mm & 3mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot.
 
Step 2 : ch 16.
 
Step 3 : R1: 1 SC on the 2nd ch from hook. Continue doing 1 SC in each till end of row.
 
Step 4 : R2-6: 1 Sc in each till end of row with blue.
 
Step 5 : R7-13: 1 Sc in each till end of row with red.
 
Step 6 : ch 1, cut off yarn & sew ends. 

Step 7 : slst with white 3rd column in the 3rd, slst in sideways till the 4th row and continue doing straight.

Step 8 : same way do in the red part too.

Step 9 : slst with yellow in the side > shape.

Step 10 : slst the > shape with black.

Step 11 : slst the remaining part with green.

Step 12 : sew ends.
