Christmas Ball Ornament Crochet

 

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. A christmas series as well.

A very simple and a basic pattern of christmas ball ornament. I didn't have much time, so this came handy.

Today we will see ball ornament crochet. Let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet 

slst- slip stitch 

hook: 3.5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Magic ring. 

Step 2 : chain 2. Considered as 1st DC.

Step 3 : Do 11 more DCs. Total 12 DCs.

Step 4 : Slipstitch to the 3rd chain of the 1st 3 chains.

Step 5 : Chain 3 , counted as 1st DC.

Step 6 : Pattern : 2 DCs in each, till end of row.

Step 7 : Slipstitch to the 3rd chain of the 1st 3 chains.

Step 8 : Chain 3 , counted as 1st DC.

Step 9 : Pattern : 1 DC, 2 DCs, 1 DC, 2 DCs,.. till end of row.

Step 10 : Slipstitch to the 3rd chain of the 1st 3 chains.

Step 11 : Ch 1, cut off yarn & sew.

Step 12 : Now use another color yarn. ch 3 , considered as 1st DC.

Step 13 : Use the 4 back loop stitches.

Step 14 : 2 DCs in each of the 4 stitches.

Step 15 : ch 1 & turn. 1 SC in each, till end of row.

Step 16 : ch 1 & turn. Slst till the 4th stitch, chain 11, slst in the same space, till end of row slst alone.

Step 17 : Cut off yarn & sew.

Step 18 : Ornament is ready!!!
