Dreamcatcher Crochet

 

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. This was my long awaited project. Many requested too. Actually I wanted to do one for myself.

For this project I needed a ring. A sturdy one. Surfed in desertcart & found one of my choice. It was perfect. Though it reached on time, due to some personal commitments, I kept delaying.

Then finally I pushed myself to do it( bit lazy ;) ). Here we are guys. Hope you like the pattern. Its beginner's friendly. If you know the basic crochet stitches, then you can go ahead and play around.

So today we will see a simple dream catcher crochet, a beginner friendly version. Let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

ch - chain sc - single crochet dc - double crochet hdc- half double crochet tr- treble crochet slst- slipstitch hook: 4mm ring size: 14 cm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chain 5, slst to the 1st chain to form a loop.

Step 2 : ch 3 , considered as 1st DC.

Step 3 : ch 1 again.

Step 4 : (1 Dc, ch 1)* 12 times.

Step 5 : slst to the 3rd chain of the 1st 3 chains.

Step 6 : slst in that ch 1 space.

Step 7 : ch 3. Slst in the next space.

Step 8 : Repeat step 7 till end of row.

Step 9 : In each row , increase the no. of chain in odd numbers. So next row is 5 chs. So ( 5 chs, slst              to the next space)* till end of row.

Step 10 : Continue till the number of rows desired. Each keep increasing by odd numbers.

Step 11 : Cut off yarn & sew. Now take another color yarn, slipknot & slst the above with the ring.

Step 12 : Do SCs throughtout. In between space do 10 DCs. Slst at the last

Step 13 : Add feathers & beads. Glue them.

Step 14 : Dream catcher is ready!!!

 

Yay!! looks really beautiful. Happy that it came out awesome. The feathers I bought in a local store in kuwait. Was little tuff while gluing the feather & the yarn. But the end result was awesome indeed.
