Mittens Crochet

 




Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. As winter is around the corner. These mittens would be much helpful for babies.

Babies need to be kept warm. Mom's hug is always warm. Still these mittens would be more helpful.

Today we will do a simple mitten crochet for ages 0-12 months. Let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain sc- single crochet dc- double crochet tr- treble crochet hdc- half double crochet slst- slip stitch hook: 4mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot followed by ch 9.

Step 2 : 1 SC on the 2nd chain from hook, till end of row.

Step 3 : ch 1 & turn.

Step 4 : Pattern : first & last SC will be in both loops, other SCs only in back loop.

Step 5 : We need to repeat step 4 for a total of 23 rows.

Step 6 : Once done, join together by doing SCs in each.

Step 7 : Now flip it.

Step 8 : ch 2. Pattern : Row 1 to 6 : 1 DC in each stitch, till end of row. Slst . ch 2 while starting a              row.

Step 9 : Row 7 : DC2 Tog, till end of row & slst at end.

Step 10 : Row 8 : ch 1, SC2Tog. slst at end.

Step 11 : Cut off yarn & sew.

Step 12 : Mitten is ready!!!
