Toran Crochet

 


Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. It was Diwali time, when I did this video.

Have seen many homes with toran door hanging. It really looked beautiful . So thought as why not crochet a simple toran as a beginners friendly version. This is a sample one, so made it in small size.

Today we will see toran crochet.


Crochet Terminology:
ch- chain
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
tr- treble crochet
hdc- half double crochet
slst- slip stitch

hook: 5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chains in multiples of 3. I have done 30 chains, as its a sample.

Step 2 : 1 SC on the 2nd chain from hook.

Step 3 : Continue doing 1 SC in each till end of row.

Step 4 : ch 2 & turn.

Step 5 : (Row 2 )1 DC in each till end of row.

Step 6 : Row 3 :  ch 2 & turn. Can change color or use the same yarn. 

Step 7 : Pattern : 3 DCs in same stitch, skip 2 stitches, 3 DCs in the 3rd stitch,... continue till end of  row.

Step 8 : Row 4 : ch 2 & turn.

Step 9 : 1 DC on each stitch, till end of row.

Step 10 : Row 5 : ch 1 & turn.

Step 11 : 1 SC on each stitch, till end of row.

Step 12 : ch 1, Pattern : 5 Trs on the 4th stitch, ch 3, slst to the 3rd chain, 5 Trs in the same stitch, slst to the next 4th stitch.

Step 13 : Continue the same pattern till end of row. Can add beads too.

Step 14 : Toran is ready!!!
