Octopus Crochet

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. How are you all? Hope all are doing good and staying safe.

It's been so long, since I last did my amigurumi, the Turtle. So today we will see Octopus. It's a super fun project and easy to make too.

Without further delay, let's get into our project.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

slst- slip stitch

hook:3.5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : magic circle, followed by ch 1.

Step 2 : 5 HDCs in that ring.

Step 3 : slst to the 1st HDC.

Step 4 : ch 1, do 2 HDCs in each stitch.

Step 5 : slst to the 1st HDC.

Step 6 : ch 1, pattern:2 HDCs, 1 HDC, 2 HDCs,.... till end of  row.

Step 7: ch 1, 1 HDC in each stitch for 3 rows.

Step 8 : ch 1, 1 HDC, HDC2Together,.... till end of row, slst to the 1st HDC.

Step 9 : Repeat step 8.

Step 10 : Now the bottom part. See to that you have at least 8 chains. I had 10 chains, so slipstitched in 2 places.

Step 11 : Chain 21, 2 HDCs on the 2nd chain from hook.

Step 12 : Continue doing 2 HDCs till end of row.

Step 13 : Slst to the top chain.

Step 14 : Repeat steps 11 to 13, 8 times.

Step 15 : Add stuffing. Now repeat step 8 until the bottom closes.

Step 16 : Now add eyes and mouth.

Step 17 : You can add hanging too if you like.

Step 18 : Tadaa!!! Octopus is ready!!!

Hope it was easy to understand and crochet. Please leave your valuable comments, which would help me a lot.

Thank you for visiting. See you all in my next superb blog. Bye!!!
