Apple Cup Cozy Crochet

 


Hi friends, Assalamu alaikkum. How are you all? Hope you are all doing good. Today , as Teacher's day is nearing, let's do a very simple , easy and beginner's friendly project. A simple apple cup cozy crochet.

 

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 
sc- single crochet 
dc- double crochet 
tr- treble crochet 
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain

hook : 5mm & 3.5mm

Written Pattern:

 

Step 1 : slipknot, followed by chains. These chains depend on your cup size.For me it took 34 chains.

Step 2 : Row 1 : 1 Sc in the 2nd chain from hook. Do with yarn under method.

Step 3 : 1 Sc in each chain with yarn under method till end of row. 

Step 4 : Row 2 : ch 2 and turn.

Step 5 : 1 HDC in each stitch till end of row with yarn under method.

Step 6 : Row 3 : Repeat steps 4 & 5 once.

Step 7 : ch 3 and turn

Step 8 : Row 4 : 1 DC in each till end of row with yarn under method.

Step 9 : Repeat step 6 for row 5 & 6.

Step 10 : repeat step 2 for row 7.

Step 11 : slst on side till you reach the DC position.

Step 12 : chain 11 

Step 13 : slst to the same position. Slst till end of row.

Step 14 : cut off yarn & sew.

Step 15 : sew a button.

Step 16 : apple stem hook:3.5mm: I will be adding apple stem on both sides. So check the middle, make slipknot and then attach it..

Step 17 : chain 6. 1 Sc on the 2nd chain from hook.

Step 18 : continue doing 1 Sc in each chain till end of row & then slst to the bottom part.

Step 19 : cut off yarn & sew. 

Step 20 : repeat steps 16 to 19 , once.

Step 21 : Add leaves too.

Step 22 : Attach everything together.

Step 23 : a beautiful gift is ready!!!
