Simple Basket Crochet

 

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. How are you? Today we will see a very simple and easy basket crochet.

It's very easy to do. So, let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

hook : 5mm

Written Pattern:

 Step 1 : slipknot, followed by chain 4.

Step 2 : slst to the 1st chain. 

Step 3 : R 1: ch 2, not considered as DC.

Step 4 : 12 DCs in that loop.

Step 5 : slst to the 1st DC.

Step 6 :  R 2: ch 2 , not considered as DC.

Step 7 : Patt : 1 DC, 2 DCs, 1 DC,... till end of row. slst to the 1st DC

Step 8 : R 3: ch 2 , not considered as DC.

Step 9 : Patt : 1 DC, 1 DC, 2 DCs, 1 DC,... till end of row. slst to the 1st DC

Step 10 :  R 4: ch 2 , not considered as DC.

Step 11 : Patt : 1 DC, 1 DC, 1 DC, 2 DCs, 1 DC,... till end of row. slst to the 1st DC.

Step 12 :  R 5:continue doing 1 DC on each till the no. of rows needed. As per the need of the height.

Step 13 : for the last decorative part. 5 DCs on the 2nd stitch, skip 2 stitches, slst on the 3rd.

Step 14 : continue step 13 till end of row.

Step 15 : add chains(its optional). slst to the body part and continue doing 1 SC on the 2nd chain from hook. and continue SC and slst to the other side.

Step 16 : Your simple basket is ready!!!!
