Hammock Crochet

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. As we were shifting the house, I felt like we need to decorate. So thought to make a hammock. First I decided to make a big one, but later thought that let's start with a small one. So made this mini hammock. I assure you that, once you start this project, you would definitely love and enjoy the end result. And you can make as big as you want, with this same pattern.

So why delay, let's dive in.

Crochet Terminology:
sl st - slip stitch
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
tr- treble crochet
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain

hook : 5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by number of chains. I did 63 chains. You can add as per your need.

Step 2 : R1: 1 DC on the 3rd ch from hook.

Step 3 : Continue making 1 DC on each till end of row.

Step 4 :  R2 : chain 7 , skip 2 sts & slst to the 3rd st.

Step 5 : repeat step 4 for one row.

Step 6 : R3-R12 : chain 7 and SC to the previous row ch 7 space. Repeat till end of row.

Step 7 : R13: ch 4 & turn.

Step 8 : 1 DC on ch 7 space, followed by ch 2.

Step 9 : Repeat step 8 till end of row.

Step 10 : SC2Tog with the ring on one side.

Step 11 : R14: 5 DCs, ch 5, SC on the 5th ch, 5 DCs on the next st. slip st on next 2 sts.

Step 12 : Repeat step 11 till end of row. ch 1, cut off yarn & sew ends.

Step 13 : Add beads and tassels.

Step 14: Now your beautiful mini hammock is ready!!!
