Christmas Tree Skirt Crochet

 

Hi friends,assalamu alaikkum. Today we will see a very easy and simple Christmas Tree Skirt Crochet. It was asked by my friend for a simple tree. You can add this for any size of tree by increasing rows. I have made a very simple and last minute tree skirt. You can go creative,

So without further delay, let's get into the project!!!

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

hook : 4mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by ch 52.

Step 2 : R1 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 4 chains, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 4 chains  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

Step 3 : R2 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 5 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 5 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

Step 4 : R3 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 6 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 6 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 5 : R4 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 7 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 7 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 6 : R5 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 8 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 8 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 7 : R6 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 9 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 9 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 8 : R7 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 10 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 10 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 9 : R8 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 11 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 11 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

Step 10 : R9 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 12 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 12 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 11 : white yarn:  R10 : Pattern : 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 13 stitches, 2 dcs, 1 dc in the next 13 stitches  ....till end of row. ch 2 & turn.

 

Step 12 : Add buttons. Can add flowers, stars, snowflakes, leaves, etc....

 

Step 13 : Add a strap. Slst to the backside, chain 38 (+/- depending upon your need) .

Step 14 : 1 hdc on the 3rd chain from hook.

Step 15 : continue doing 1 hdc on the remaining chains till end of row.

Step 16 : slst to the next stitch.

Step 17 : Add buttons too.

Step 18 : Your beautiful tree skirt is ready!!!
