Cosmetics Drawstring Pouch Crochet

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. This is a little big project, but you will surely enjoy working on this. I usually don't use much cosmetics. But one of my friend asked me to do this for her, cosmetics drawstring pouch. So did this on request. If you are familiar with the basic stitches, you will surely enjoy making this project.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Hook : 4mm

Things needed:

1. Yarn

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4. Sewing thread

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Magic ring

Step 2 : R1: 12 Dcs in that ring.

Step 3 : R2 : 2 Dcs in each stitch. Total 24 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc.

Step 4 : R3 : (1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 36 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc.

Step 5 : R4 : (1 Dc, 1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 48 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc.

Step 6 : R5 :  (1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 60 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc.

Step 7 : R6 : (1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 72 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc. 

Step 8 : R7 : (1 Dc, 1 DC, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 84 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc. 

Step 9 : R8 : (1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 DC, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 96  Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc.  

Step 10 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 11 : Repeat steps 1 to 9 once, don't cut off.

Step 12 : Keep the two pieces wrong sides facing together. Do the step 13 together.

Step 13 : R9 : (1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 DC, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc,2 Dcs)*till end of row. Total 108 Dcs. Slst to the 1st Dc.

Step 25 : R21 : (1 Dc in 4 stitches, ch 3, skip 3) * repeat till end of row. slst in the 1st Dc.

Step 26 : R22 : (1 Dc in each of the 4 stitches, 4 Dcs in the ch 3 space)* repeat till end of row.

Step 27 : For drawstring, slipknot, followed by 275 chs.

Step 28 : 1 slst on the 2nd chain's back bump from hook.

Step 29 : continue 1 slst on each of the chain's back bump till end of row.

Step 30 : ch 1, cut off and sew ends.

Step 31 : add in the pouch spaces and sew the ends together.

Step 32 : your cosmetics drawstring pouch is ready to use!!!!
