Floral Mandala Crochet

Hi friends assalamu alaikkum. I know many would be searching for patterns to decorate their homes for Diwali. So here is another Diwali special home decor added to our playlist. It is a subscriber requested video. A very simple and easy floral mandala crochet. Already we have added Toran, Lantern, candle holders, etc,.

So without further delay let's get into the project.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarn

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4. Beads(opt)

5. Bell(opt)

hook : 

3.5 mm

 

Written Pattern:

Step 1 :slipknot, followed by ch 4. You can either use this or just do a magic ring.

Step 2 : slst to the first chain to form a loop.

Step 3 : R1 : 16 Dcs in that loop. Slst to the 1st Dc. ch 1 & cut off to add another color.

Step 4 : R2 : 1 hdc, ch 1, 1 hdc in next stitch, ch 1,.... continue till end of row. Slst to the 1st hdc. ch 1 & cut off to add another color.

Step 5 : R3 : 1 hdc in ch 1 space, ch 2, 1 hdc on next st, ch 2,.. continue till end of row. Slst to the 1st hdc. ch 1 & cut off to add another color.

Step 6 : R4 : 3 hdcs in ch 2 space, ch 3, 3 hdcs ,.... continue till end of row. Slst to the 1st hdc. ch 1 & cut off to add another color.

Step 7 : R5 : 1 Sc on ch 3 space, 9Dcs on next ch 3 space,... repeat till end of row. Slst to the 1st Sc. ch 1 & cut off to add another color.

Step 8 : R6 : in each Sc do (1 Sc, ch 3, 1 Sc) and do 1 Sc on each of the 9 Dcs. Repeat this pattern till end of row. Slst at end. ch 1 & cut off to add another color.

Step 9 : R7 : in each (1 Sc, ch 3, 1 Sc) do (3 Dcs, ch 3, slst to the 3rd ch, 3Dcs). Do 1 Sc, ch 1, skip 1 Sc, 1 Sc on next,.. repeat till end of row. Repeat this pattern till end of row.Slst at end. ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 10 : Beautiful coaster is ready!!!

Step 11 : Add a hanging, add beads and bells at the bottom.

Step 12 : Your beautiful wall hanging is ready!!!
