Wall Hanging With recycled CD/DVD

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Hope all are doing good. I had few CD at home, which had a lot of scratches. So tried this wall hanging home decor. It was very easy to make and the end result was awesome.

So without further delay let's get into the project.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarn

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4.Flowers of your choice

5. CD/DVD

hook : 

3.5 mm

 

Written Pattern:

Step 1 :slipknot, and add the yarn to the CD.

Step 2 : Do Sc around the CD. I did around 100 Scs.

Step 3 : Slst, ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 4 : For the holder part: Slipknot, followed by ch 4.

Step 5 : slst to the 1st ch to form a loop.

Step 6 : R1: 8 Dcs in that loop.

Step 7 : R2 : 2 Dcs in each stitch till end of row. Total 16 Dcs.

Step 8 : R3 : 1 Dc, 2 Dcs, 1 Dc, 2 Dcs,.. till end of row. Total 24 Dcs.

Step 9 : R4 : 1 Dc,1 Dc, 2 Dcs, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 2 Dcs,.. till end of row. Total 32 Dcs.

Step 10 : R5 : 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 2 Dcs, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 2 Dcs,.. till end of row. Total 40 Dcs.

Step 11 :  R5 : 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 2 Dcs, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 1 Dc, 2 Dcs,.. till end of row. Total 48 Dcs.

Step 12 : Ch1 & cut off a little lengthy yarn for sewing the CD base & the holder part.

Step 13 : Add yarn to the CD part and make Sc on the 1st stitch, (3 Dcs, ch 3, 3 Dcs) on the 3rd stitch, slst on the 3rd stitch.

Step 14 : Repeat step 13 till end of row.

Step 15 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 16 : Add a hanging, by adding the yarn in the 2nd ch of the ch 3 , make 13 chs & slst on the next 2nd ch of the ch 3.

Step 17: ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 18 : Now you can add flowers or keep anything as organization.
