Oman Flag Crochet

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today an another add on to the flag series, Oman flag. In Kuwait, the GCC Sumit is gonna be held on December 1st. So planned to do the flags of GCC Countries. I have already done Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE. So I planned to do the remaining. 

So without further delay let's get into the project.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarns

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

hook : 

3 mm

 

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Green : Slipknot, followed by ch 10.

Step 2 :  R1-R3: 1 Sc on each stitch till end of row.

Step 3 : Red: R4-R6 : 1 Sc on each stitch till end of row.

Step 4 : White : R7-R9 : 1 Sc on each stitch till end of row.

Step 5 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 6 : Vertical Red part: Slipknot followed by ch 10. We can do horizontally with the piece as a base. But it looks shrinked. Thats why tried this method.

Step 7 : R1-R4 : 1 Sc on each stitch till end of row.

Step 8 : Ch1 & cut off a lengthy yarn .

Step 9 : Sew the both pieces together.

Step 10 : Add the national emblem of Oman(Khanjar & 2 swords).

Step 11 : Oman flag is ready!!!
