Rainbow Bag charm/Keychain Crochet

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. My little one was attending a poem competition. She was going to recite a poem " The Rainbow" by Christina Rossetti. She wanted a rainbow to hold on hand. I didn't have much time, so made this rainbow in a hurry.  Hope you like it too.

So without further delay let's get into the project.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarns

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

Hook : 

2mm for clouds

3mm for rainbow

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by ch 12. Slst to the 1st ch to form a loop.

Step 2 : R1 : 1 Sc on each. Tot 12 Scs. Slst to the first.

Step 3 : R2 : change color. 2 Scs on each . Slst to the first sc. Tot 24 Scs.

Step 4 : R3 : change color. 1 Sc, 2 Scs,.. till end of row. Tot 36 Scs. Slst to the 1st Sc.

Step 5 : R4 : change color. 1 Sc, 2 Scs, 1 Sc,...till end of row. Tot 48 Scs. Slst to the 1st Sc.

Step 6 : R5 : Change color. 1 Sc on each. Slst at end.

Step 7 : R6 : change color. 1 Sc on each. Slst at end.

Step 8 : R7 : change color. 1 Sc, 1 Sc, 2 Scs, 1 Sc, 1 Sc,.. till end of row. Tot 60 Scs.

Step 9 : Fold in half & Sc both flaps together & add toy stuffing . As well sew the bottom open part.

Step 10 : For clouds, ch 4 , Sc on same space, slst on next space. Repeat at the bottom as many times to cover the bottom part on both sides.

Step 11 : Can use as a bag charm, by ch 50 and slst to the same space.

Step 12 : for key chain add the key ring.

Step 13 : Your rainbow is ready!!!!
