Flower Rakhi crochet

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Hope all are doing good. Today we will see how to do rakhi, as Raksha Bandhan is around the corner.  

Raksha Bandhan is a beautiful celebration of the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. On this day, sisters tie a Rakhi — a symbolic thread — around their brothers' wrists, representing love, trust, and the promise of protection. In return, brothers vow to support and safeguard their sisters throughout life. More than just a ritual, Rakhi is a reminder of the emotional connection and lifelong commitment shared between siblings. It transcends biological relationships too, symbolizing unity, care, and respect in many forms. In today’s fast-paced world, Raksha Bandhan brings families closer, renewing the sense of belonging and togetherness that forms the heart of every relationship.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarns

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4. Beads

 

Hook : 

2mm 

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : R1: Magic ring, followed by 8 hdcs in that ring.

Step 2 : R2: 2 hdcs on each. total 16 hdcs.

Step 3 : R3: 2 hdcs, 1 hdc, 2 hdcs, 1 hdc,.. till end. Tot 24 hdcs.

Step 4 : R4 : (1 slst, 1 ch) on each stitch.

Step 5 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 6 : Slipknot, followed by ch 3.

Step 7 : 2 Dcs on the 3rd ch from hook, ch 2 & slst.

Step 8 : ch 2, 2 Dcs , ch 2, slst.

Step 9 : Repeat step 8 , two more times.

Step 10 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 11 : Add bead in middle.

Step 12 : Add strings of yarn on the sides.

Step 13 : Add beads too.

Step 14 : Your beautiful, easy and simple rakhi is done.
