Sunglass Case Crochet

Hi friends assalamu alaikkum. Hope all are doing great. Few might have seen a trending tutorial on YouTube regarding the sunglass case.

In 2025, the circular crochet sunglass case is one of the most popular accessories in the crochet community—valued for its bright aesthetics, practicality, and speedy make. These cases are often worked in continuous rounds using either classic granny motifs, griddle or texture stitches, or bobble/spiked stitch patterns, giving each one a distinct visual flair.

The granny-circle style is beloved for its vibrant, multicolored rounds, reminiscent of a mini granny square but worked into a pouch. It provides enough flexibility and padding to safely hold sunglasses while using scraps of cotton yarn—a favorite among makers. The griddle stitch variant, alternating single and double crochets in the round, creates a firm yet flexible fabric ideal for sunglass cases that pair color and texture beautifully.

For makers who crave dimension, bobble or spike‑stitch rounds add tactile interest and structure to a basic circular form, making the piece stand out while still being functional. These patterns often include a simple closure—such as a button-loop or chain strap—and are typically lined for additional protection.

In my pattern, I have used only the basic stitches. Hope you find it easy to carry your work & finish off in 30 minutes maximum. Good luck & have a great day crocheting.
