Nepal Flag Crochet

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Hope all are doing good. Adding to the flag series, we will do Nepal Flag Crochet.

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarns

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

 

Hook : 

3mm & 1.3 mm

Written Pattern: 

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by 16 chs.

Step 2 : 1 Sc on the 2nd ch from hook. 1 Sc on each of the remaining chs.

Step 3 : ch 1 & turn.

Step 4 : 1 Sc on each except the last 2 sts. Sc2tog on the last 2 sts.

Step 5 : ch 1 & turn. Make sc2tog.

Step 6 : 1 Sc on each till end of row.

Step 7 : keep repeating till you get 3 sts in that row.

Step 8 : ch 1 & turn, 1 Sc on each of the 3 sts, followed by ch 13.

Step 9 : keep repeating as the bottom part.

Step 10 : continue decreasing on 1 side, end with 1 Sc at the top.

Step 11 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 12 : add blue as borders with slst.

Step 13 : For sun rays: R1: magic ring, 6 Scs, slst to the 1st Sc.

Step 14 : R2: 2 scs in each, slst.

Step 15 : R3 : (1 Sc, 2 Sc)*6, slst in the last.

Step 16 : R4 : (1 Sc, 1 Sc, 2 Sc)*6, slst in the last.

Step 17 : R5 : ch 3, 1 slst on each of the next 2 sts, slst on the next 2 sts.

Step 18 : make 12 such rays.

Step 19 : glue it.

Step 20 : make the crescent with 8 rays.

Step 21 : Nepal flag is ready!!!!
