Turtle Crochet

 

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. Today I will show you how to do a amigurumi, which is a turtle. Very easy to make. Just follow the steps, and at the end, you will get a beautiful turtle. Sooooo cute one. So shall we start guys. Yupppp, let's do it.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

slst- slipstitch

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

hook: 3mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : We will start with the top dome. Magic ring, followed by 6 SCs in that ring.

Step 2 : Pull the tail & slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 3 : ch 1. This is considered as 1st SC. Do 1 SC again in that same place.

Step 4 : Do 2 SCs in each, till end of row, you would get a total of 12 SCs.

Step 5 : slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 6 : For the next row, start with chain 1. Do 2 SCs in the next. So the pattern is 1 SC, 2SCs, 1SC,...               till end of row.

Step 7 : Slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 8 : For the next row, ch 1, which is considered as 1st SC. Now the pattern for this row, 1 SC, 1                     SC, 2 SCs, 1 SC.....

Step 9 : Slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 10 : For the next row, ch 1, considered as 1st SC. The pattern for this row is, 1 SC in each till end                   of row. Slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 11 : Repeat step 10  for 1 more row.

Step 12 : Now the top part done, cut off the yarn with little longer, as we need to sew the top with                         bottom later.

Step 13 : Now the bottom part. Use white yarn. Repeat steps 1 to 8.

Step 14 : For next row, ch 1 & 1 SC in each till end of row. Slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 15 : Now for legs, ch 5, 1 SC on the 2nd chain from hook.

Step 16 : 1 DC on the next chain.

Step 17 : 1 DC on the next following chain.

Step 18 : 1 SC on the last chain.

Step 19 : Skip 1 stitch & slipstitch to the next chain.

Step 20 : Slipstitch on each of the 4 stitches.

Step 21 : Repeat steps 15 to 19 & slipstitch for the next 5 stitches.

Step 22 : Repeat steps 15 to 21,2 more times.

Step 23 : Now cut off yarn.

Step 24 : Now the head part. Magic ring , followed by 5 SCs.

Step 25 : Pull the tail & slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 26 : For next row, ch 1(considered as 1st SC), do 1 SC again same place.

Step 27 : Keep doing 2 SCs in each & slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 28 : For next row, Pattern 1 SC, 2 SCs, 1 SC,... till end of row & slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 29 : Now for next 2 rows, do 1 SC in each till end & slipstitch to 1st chain.

Step 30 : Add black yarn for eyes at this stage , as well for mouth.

Step 31 : Now for next row, ch 1, skip 1 stitch & do 2 SCs together till end of row.

Step 32 : Slipstitch to the 1st chain.

Step 33 : Ch 1 & cut off yarn with little long length.

Step 34 : Add the top, bottom  & head , all together. Add the toy stuffing for the body.

Step 35 : For tail, chain 5 at the bottom, between 2 legs. Slipstitch on the 2nd chain from hook.                             Slipstitch on the remaining chain. Slipstitch to the body.

Step 36 : Now your turtle is ready!!!
