India Badge Crochet

 


Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. I am an Indian. As Republic Day , which falls on January 26th was around the corner, I planned to crochet this badge.

During my school days, we will be asked to wear an Indian Flag on that special day. My daughter asked a special badge for her.

So tried this. Its very easy indeed.  Today we will see a badge for republic day. Let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

slst- slip stitch

hook: 3mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chain 4.

Step 2 : (Green)Slst to the 1st chain to form a loop.

Step 3 : ch 2, do 11 DCs. Total 12 DCs.

Step 4 : Slst to the 2nd chain of the 1st 2 chains.

Step 5 :(White) ch 2, Pattern : 2 DCs in each till end of row.

Step 6 : Slst to the 2nd chain of the 1st 2 chains.

Step 7 : (Orange) ch 2, Pattern : 1 Dc, 2 DCs, 1 DC, 2 DCs,.. till end of row.

Step 8 : Slst .

Step 9 : Pattern : ch3, slst to the next stitch, ch 3, slst, continue till end of row.

Step 10 : Next for blue, do slipknot & chain 5.

Step 11 : 1 SC in each, ch1 & turn. Continue for 10 rows.

Step 12 : ch 4, slst in 2nd chain, 1 SC in next & 1 HDC in 3rd.

Step 13 : now do the the same on other side too. We need 2 sets of blue.

Step 14 : Sew all together. Badge is ready!!!
