Christmas Ball Ornament Crochet

 

 

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. Today we will be a Christmas Decor series, Ball Ornament. Its quite easy to make, as well super fun. You can make it in just 30 minutes.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

slst- slip stitch

SC2Tog - Single Crochet 2 Together

DC2Tog - Double Crochet 2 Together

hook: 3 mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chain 3.

Step 2 : Slst on the 1st chain. We will be working in the mid loop.

Step 3 : Ch 2, its considered as 1st DC.

Step 4 : Do 11 DCs in that chain. Total 12 DCs in that space.

Step 5 : Slst to the 2nd chain of the 1st 2 chains.

Step 6 : ch 2, its considered as 1st DC.

Step 7 : Do 1 DC in that same space.

Step 8 : Do 2 DCs in each. Slst at the 1st chain.

Step 9 : Pattern: 1 DC, 2 DCs, 1 DC,... till end of row. Slst at end.

Step 10 : Pattern : 1 DC, 1 DC, 2 DCs, 1 DC, 1 DC,.... till end of row. Slst at end.

Step 11 : Pattern  : 1 DC in each for 3 more rows.

Step 12 : Pattern : 1 DC, 1 DC, DC2Tog, 1 DC, 1 DC,.... till end of row. Slst at end.

Step 13 :  Pattern :  1 DC, DC2Tog, 1 DC,.... till end of row. Slst at end.

Step 14 :  Pattern : DC2Tog,.. till end of row. Slst at end. Continue doing it until it gets closed.

Step 15 : Add a string of yarn at top and cut off yarn & sew.

Step 16 : Christmas Ornament ready!!!
