Balloon Crochet

 

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. Today we will be seeing a simple crochet item. Which you can do in minutes and use as a gifting item too. It's a Balloon. I had made this for my daughter's school project. She had to make a handmade Birthday card. so decided to add these balloons as a decoration. And it really came out well too.

She got good appreciation too. So do give it a try friends. 

Print this Pattern

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

slst- slip stitch

SC2Tog - Single Crochet 2 Together

DC2Tog - Double Crochet 2 Together

hook : 2.5mm 

 

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Magic ring.

Step 2 : 6 SCs in that ring.

Step 3 : slst to the 1st Sc.

Step 4 : 2 SCs in each stitch. Use stitch marker, as it would remind you where slst.

Step 5 : slst to the 1st.

Step 6 : 1 SC in each stitch. Slst at the end.

Step 7 : 1 SC, 2 SCs, 1 SC,... till end of row. Slst at end.

Step 8 : 1 SC in each stitch for next 4 rows. Slst at end of each rows.

Step 9 : for next 2 rows, do 1 SC, SC2tog, 1 SC,...  followed by slst at end of each row.

Step 10 : Add the toy stuffing.

Step 11 : Continue doing SC2Tog on each stitch until the hole closes.

Step 12 : Ch 1 & cut off yarn.

Step 13 : Your balloon is ready!!!.
