Neck Pillow Crochet

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today we will see a very easy travel accessory, neck pillow crochet & one for my daughter. It's very easy to make pattern.

Crochet Terminology:

ch- chain

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

slst- slip stitch

hook: 5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chains 53.

Step 2 : R 1 : 1 HDC on the 3rd chain from hook.

Step 3 : Pattern: 1 HDC, 2 HDCs, 1 HDC,... till end of row, except the last one.

Step 4 : 4 HDCs in the last.

Step 5 : Pattern: if the opp side has 1 HDC, do 1 HDC in this side. If the opp side has 2 HDCs, do 2 HDCs in that side.

Step 6 : slst to the 1st HDC, skipping the chain 2.

Step 7 : R 2-3 : Pattern: 1 HDC on each stitch, slst to the 1st HDC.

Step 8 : R 4: Pattern: 1 HDC, 1 HDC, 2 HDCs,... till end of row. slst at the end.

Step 9 : R 5-6 : Pattern: 1 HDC on each stitch, slst to the 1st HDC.

Step 10 : R 7 : Pattern: 1 HDC, 1 HDC, 1 HDC, 2 HDCs,... till end of row. slst at the end.

Step 11 : slst the inner loops together. Do slst lil by lil and keep the toy stuffings as and when you move.

Step 12 : Add a cloth as a lining if you need. Can add a hanging at the top and button at the bottom.

Step 13 : For the hanging part: slipknot, followed by chain 16.1 SC on the 2nd chain from hook. Continue doing 1 SC on each chain, till end of row.

Step 14 : For the neck button: Add the yarn to the one part of the neck pillow. chain 1. 1 SC in each of the 6 stitches. chain 1 & turn. continue same pattern for 4 more rows. chain 1 & turn. Now reduce on the sides. Stop when you have reached 2 stitches. chain 1 , cut off yarn & sew. Sew the press button and add a fancy button on top. Do the same for other side too.

Step 15 : Your neck pillow is ready!!!!
