Diwali Simple Diya Crochet

 

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today we will see a very simple and easy gift/return gift crochet ideas.A very simple Diwali Diya crochet. Let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

hook : 3mm

Written Pattern:

 Step 1 : Magic Ring, (R 1) ch 1, followed by 7 DCs in that ring.

Step 2 : R2 : ch 2 & turn. Patt: 2 DCs in each

Step 3 :  R3 : ch 2 & turn. Patt: 1 DC, 2 Dcs, 1 DC, till end of row.

Step 4 : R4 : ch 2 & turn. Patt: 1 DC, 1 DC, 2 Dcs, 1 DC, till end of row.

Step 5 : R5 : ch 1 & turn. Patt: 1 SC, till end of row.

Step 6 : 1 SC on the top part too, to make it even.

Step 7 : Now the flame part.

Step 8 : slipknot.

Step 9 : Add to the bottom part. Chain 1, do 3 more chains.

Step 10 : do 3 DCs in that last chain from hook.

Step 11 : Patt: R 2 : ch 1 & turn. do 2 DCs in each.

Step 12 : Patt : R3 : ch 1 & turn . DC2Tog  twice.

Step 13 : Patt : R4 : ch 1 & turn. DC2Tog once.

Step 14 : chain 1 , cut off & sew.

Step 15 : If u want chain add few chains & use as a garland or other decor. Can add beads too as decoration.

Step 16 : Your Diya is ready!!!!
