La'eeb Crochet / FIFA World Cup Mascot

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today we will see La'eeb crochet. I enjoyed doing it. Hope you too like it. I know its late but anyways hope you like it too.

Let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

hook : 3mm

Written Pattern:

 Step 1 : Make slipknot.

Step 2 : chain 4.

Step 3 : slst to the 1st chain.

Step 4 : R 1 : chain 1 & make 6 SCs in that loop.

Step 5 : R 2 : Pattern: 2 SCs in each stitch.

Step 6 :  R 3 : Pattern: 2 Scs, 1 SC, 2 SCs,.. till end of row

Step 7 : R 4 : Pattern: 2 Scs, 1 SC, 1 SC, 2 SCs,.. till end of row

Step 8 : R5 : 1 SC in each for 11 rows.

Step 9 : R 17: Pattern:  SC2tog,1 SC, 1 SC,  SC2tog,.. till end of row 

Step 10 : R 18 Pattern:  SC2tog,1 SC, SC2tog,.. till end of row 

Step 11 : R19 : Pattern:  SC2tog,,.. till end of row

 Step 12 : if needed do 1 more row of SC2Tog.

Step 13 : cut off yarn by leaving a bit lengthy yarn, as you would need at end.

Step 14 : Now repeat steps 1 to 7 once.

Step 15 : R5 : Pattern: 2 SCs, 1 Sc, 1 SC, 1 Sc, 2 Scs, till end of row.

Step 16 : R6-7 : Pattern : 1SC in each with black.

Step 17 : R 8 : Pattern : 1 SC in each stitch  in back loop only with white yarn.

Step 18 : ch 1 & cut off yarn.

Step 19 : Mark the face center position. I left around 20 stitches in the front part.

Step 20 : Now do 1 SC in each. When you reach a stitch mark area, ch 1 & turn, skip 1 stitch & start doing 1 SC in each.

Step 21 : repeat step 20 for 4 more rows.

Step 22 : ch 1 & cut off yarn,

Step 23 : slipknot, followed by ch 13.

Step 24 : slst to the head back part & continue doing 1 SC in each. Then ch 13.

Step 25 : ch 1 & turn, SC2Tog in next 2 stitches.

Step 26 : continue doing 1 Sc in each.

Step 27 : do sc2tog in the ends & 1 SC in each in mid.

Step 28 repeat steps 25 to 27 until you reach a pointy end.

Step 29 : ch 1, cut off yarn & sew ends. Attach the body and head together. Add a bead.

Step 30 : Eyes: magic ring, followed by 6 SC in the ring. cut off yarn & sew ends.

Step 31 : Eyebrows: slipknot, followed by ch 7. cut off yarn & sew ends.

Step 32 : Lips : slipknot, followed by ch 10. Cut off yarn & sew ends.

Step 33 : red circles on body : magic ring, followed by 5 SCs in that ring.

Step 34 :glue them all.

Step 34 : Now your la'eeb amigurumi ready!!!
