Steel scale cover crochet

Hi friends, how are you all? Hope doing good. Let's do a simple scale cover crochet. As my daughter's scale was very sharp and was hurting her. She asked me to do a cover for it. So made it. It's very easy to do.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
tr- treble crochet
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain

hook : 2mm

Written Pattern:

 Step 1 : Make slipknot.

Step 2 : chain according to your scale. I did 12 chains.

Step 3 : skip 1 chain  and make 1 SC in each till end of row.

Step 4 : ch 3 and make 1 tr in each.

Step 5 : Continue making rows of tr till you reach the needed height.

Step 6 : make such one long strip. I did this with brown yarn.

Step 7 :  Now take grey yarn and slst with bottom part of the front loop and continue making 1 SC along the front loop alone.

Step 8 : continue till the height needed.

Step 9 : now slst to the sides.

Step 10 : For making the button part ch 10 & slst to te same space.

Step 11 : Sew the button.

Step 12 : Now your scale cover ready!!!!

Hope it was easy to understand and crochet. Please share your valuable comments which would help me a lot.
