Mini Sweater Christmas ornament crochet

 

 

 Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. How are you all? Hope doing good as usual. Many must be busy decorating their homes and trees for Christmas. So what I thought was to do DIYs in simple and easy to do last minute gifts/decorations out of crochet. If too fancy, would be really hard to keep watching and making it on their own. So coming out with these small and easy crochet projects. Hope you all like it and keep supporting my blog and my channel. Thank you and Merry Christmas in advance dears. 

Coming to the point, as we are making a mini sweater, if you are familiar with the basic stitches, you are ready to go. But, in case, if you are not much confident, no worries, its totally fine, I have uploaded the basic stitches details as a playlist. It will be in an easy to understand manner.

So let's get started friends.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

hook : 3mm 

 

Written Pattern:

 Step 1 : Collar: Slipknot, followed by ch 5.

Step 2 : 1 Sc on the 2nd ch from hook.

Step 3 : 1 Sc on each of the remaining chains.

Step 4 : ch 1 & turn.

Step 5 : 1 Sc on both loops on the 1st & last stitch.

Step 6 : Remaining 2 middle stitches will have 1 SC on the back loop.

Step 7 : Repeat steps 4 to 6, 8 more times.

Step 8 : ch 1 & slst the stitches together.

Step 9 : Body: chain 3, 1 Dc on the same stitch.

Step 10 : do V stitch(1 DC, ch 1, 1 DC) in each of the remaining 9 stitches.

Step 11 : chain 3, 1 Dc in same stitch.

Step 12 : V stitch(1 DC, ch 1, 1 DC) in each of the ch 1 space.

Step 13 : 2 DC in each of the ch 1 space, except the 3rd & 8th chain 1 space, as those are for the hand portions.

Step 14 : continue doing 1 DC in each for 2 more rows.

Step 15 : ch 1, 1 Sc on each of the back loop only.

Step 16 : ch 1, cut off yarn & sew the ends.

Step 17 : Arms: 1 SC on the 5 stitches, following the next 2 stitches from the body part.

Step 18 : so total 7 DCs.

step 19 : continue same pattern for 3 more rows.

Step 20 : repeat step 15 once.

Step 21 : ch 1 , cut off yarn & sew.

Step 22 : Repeat steps 17 to 21, on the next hand part.

Step 23 : Make a hanging near the collar sides.

Step 24 : Your mini sweater ornament is ready!!!!
