Book Cover Crochet

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today I made this super easy cover for Quran, as Ramadan, the sacred month is nearing. Muslims all around the world make pre-arrangements in order to welcome Ramadan. I felt this crochet, which was in my bucket list since last year, came out so beautiful, can be given as a gift to your loved ones or even it can be kept for yourself too.

Without wasting time, let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:
sl st - slip stitch
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
tr- treble crochet
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain

hook : 4mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by chs. The chs depend on your book length. For me it took 33 chains.

Step 2 : 1 HDC on the 2nd chain from hook.

Step 3 : 1 HDC on the remaining chains till end of row.

Step 4 : 1 HDC on each for 3 more rows.

Step 5 : 1 HDC on the back loop only for 1 row.

Step 6 : 1 HDC on each stitch for the number of rows needed. For me it took 33 rows.

Step 7 : Repeat step 5 once.

Step 8 : Repeat step 4 once.

Step 9 : slst on top and bottom and add bookmark too.

Step 10 : Add the closing part.

Step 11 : Sew the press buttons, add flowers .

Step 12 : Your cover for Quran is ready!!!

Hope it was easy to understand and crochet. Please share your valuable comments which would help me a lot.

Thank you for your visit!!!
