Crochet Monstera Plant Home Decor

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today let's do a very cute and simple home decor/car hanger. I did a little bigger one for my home, using IKEA pot. It turned out beautiful and got great appreciation too. The leaves were easy to make and if you are willing to start a selling business, this one will give you a great earning. Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch

sc- single crochet

dc- double crochet

tr- treble crochet

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

hook : 3.5mm for leaves & flowers

4mm for base and hanging part

Things needed:

1. Yarn

2. Darning Needle

3. Scissors

4. Stitch Marker

Written Pattern:

Step 1: Leaves : Slipknot, followed by ch5.

Step 2 : 1 dc on the 5th ch from hook.

Step 3 : ch 2.

Step 4 : 1 dc in the same mid space.

Step 5 : ch 2, 1 dc in the same mid space, followed by ch 3.

Step 6 : 1 dc in the mid space, ch 2, 1 dc in the mid space, ch 2, 1 dc in the mid space, ch 4.

Step 7 : slst in the mid space, slst to the ch 4 space, 4 scs.

Step 8 : In the next 2 ch 2 spaces, do 2 scs in each.

Step 9 : In the ch 3 space, do 2 scs, ch 2, slst , 2 scs.

Step 10 : 2 scs in each of the ch 2 spaces.

Step 11 : 4 scs in the last 4 ch space. slst.

Step 12 : If you want a single leaf, stop with this step, ch 1, cut off & sew ends. If you want more leaves , continue. ch 13.

Step 13 : Repeat step 2 to 11.

Step 14 : Continue making as many leaves as you want.

Step 15 : once finished, slst to the base.

Step 16 : Base: ch 4, slst to the 1st ch to form a loop.

Step 17 : R1 : 10 dcs in that loop. slst at end.

Step 18 : R2 : 2 dcs in each stitch.slst at end. Total 20 stitches.

Step 19 : R3 : 2 dcs,1 dc, 2 dcs, .. till end of row slst at end.. total 30 stitches

Step 20 : R4 : 1 dc in each of the back loop only. slst at end.

Step 21 : R5 : 1 dc in each loops. slst at end.. Continue till the height you want, ch 1, cut off and sew ends.

Step 22 : Repeat steps16 to 19 for once and add stuffing. Attach the top.

Step 23 : Attach flowers.

Step 24 : Hanging part: Repeat steps 16 to 19 once.

Step 25 : R4 : 2 dc, 1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc,.. till end of row. slst at end. Total 40 stitches.

Step 26 : R5 : 1 dc in back loop only for 1 row. slst at end.

Step 27 : R6-R11 : 1 dc in each of the 3 stitches, ch 2, skip 2 stitches, 1 dc in each of the 3 stitches,... till end of row. slst to the 1st dc. slst at end.

Step 28 : Do as many rows as needed.

Step 29 : R12 : 1 dc in each stitch, 2 dcs in ch 2 space. slst at end.
