Brooch Crochet

 

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Today am making a brooch with the Kuwait Flag colors, as Hala February is nearing. And it's that celebration, which people love to enjoy and decorate themselves too with. Lights will be decorated in every streets, Government buildings, etc...

So on my share am making a brooch with Kuwait Flag colors. You can add colors of your choice.

So anyone can try it, if you are familiar with the basic stitches.

So please don't forget to give a try.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

hook : 2mm

Things needed:

1. Yarn

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4. Brooch Pin

5. Beads

6. Hair Tie(If needed)

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by ch 4.

Step 2 : slst to the 1st ch to form a loop.

Step 3 : ch 2(not considered as 1st dc)

Step 4 : 12 Dcs in that loop.

Step 5 : slst to the 1st dc.

Step 6 : ch 2.

Step 7 : 2 dcs in each stitch till end of row.

Step 8 : slst to the 1st dc.

Step 9 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 10 : change to black. Pattern: 2 sc, 1 sc, 2 sc, 1 sc,... till end of row.

Step 11 : slst to the 1st sc.

Step 12 : Add flowers.

Step 13 : For Leaves: slipknot, followed by ch 7.

Step 14 : slst on the 2nd ch from hook, followed by 1 sc in the next ch, 1 hdc in each of the next 2 chains, 1 sc on the next , 1 slst in the next, followed by ch 1.

Step 15 : repeat step 14 on the other side.

Step 16 : cut off & sew ends.

Step 17 : Make as many flowers & leaves you want.

 

Step 18 : Attach them to the base, add the brooch clasp pin.

 

Step 19 : Your beautiful brooch is ready to wear!!!
