Corner Bookmark Crochet

 

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. Hope you all are doing good. Today we will make a bookmark, which every book lovers would love to have. Actually I am such kinda person, who would love to keep the books neat and clean, without folding the corners. I saw many in Pinterest. So did one of a basic version, which anyone can try in leisure. I did this when I was about to leave for vacation. It took 2 months to edit this. And here we are today with a super easy corner bookmark

So without further delay let's get into the project.

 

rochet Terminology:


sl st - slip stitch 
sc- single crochet 
dc- double crochet 
tr- treble crochet 
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain
 

Things needed:


1. Yarn

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4. Needle 

5.Stitch marker


hook : 
3mm
 
Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by ch 4.

Step 2 : slst to the 1st ch to form a loop.

Step 3 : ch 3(1st Dc) & turn.

Step 4 : R1: (3 Dc, ch 1)* 3 times.

Step 5 : ch 3 & turn.

Step 6 : R2 : From this row onwards, mark the 2nd Dc  of the middle set of Dcs with a stitch marker. We will be doing (3 Dcs, ch 1) in each ch 1 space as well in the stitch marked position. Do ch 3 & turn in each row.

Step 7 : R3 to R7: Repeat step 6 for 5 rows. And the end of R7 your project will look like a semicircle.

Step 8 : Fold in half. Do 3 Scs in each till the top.

Step 9 : For the other side, do 3 Scs in the 2nd Dc post of the 3 Dcs.

Step 10 : ch 1, cut off & sew end.

Step 11 : Your cute bookmark is ready to use.
