Beginner Scarf Crochet

Hi friends, assalamu alaikkum. As winter has started, let's make scarf/muffler crochet. This is 5 rows repeat and also I love the yarn, Nako woolen yarn. First few rows with this yarn wasn't much visible because of the color, so did few rows with light colored yarn and then shifted to the original yarn.    

So without further delay let's get into the project.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch 

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

tr- treble crochet 

hdc- half double crochet

ch- chain

 

Things needed:

1. Yarns

2. Darning Needle 

3. Scissors

4. Stitch marker

hook : 

4.5 mm

 

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : white : Slipknot, followed by ch 24. Do chains in multiples of 10 with 4 chs extra.

Step 2 : R1 : 1 hdc on the 3rd ch(back bump) from hook. 

Step 3 : 1 hdc on each stitch till end of row.

Step 4 : R2-6 : straight edge method ,1 FPDc in 5 stitches, 1 BPDc in 5 stitches, 1 FPDc in 5 stitches, 1 BPDc in 5 stitches, 1 Dc on the last stitch. 

Step 5 : R7-11 : straight edge method ,1 BPDc in 5 stitches, 1 FPDc in 5 stitches, 1 BPDc in 5 stitches, 1 FPDc in 5 stitches, 1 Dc on the last stitch. 

Step 6 : R12-16 :Step 4

Step 7 : R17-21 : Step 5

Step 8 : R22-26 : Step 4

Step 9 : R27- 31 : Step 5 

Step 10 : R32-36 : Step 4

Step 11 : R37-41 : Step 5

Step 12 : R42-46 : Step 4

Step 13 : R47-51 : Step 5

Step 14 : R52-56 : Step 4

Step 15 : R57-61 : Step 5

Step 16 : R62-66 : Step 4

Step 17 : R67-71 : Step 5

Step 18 : R72-76 :Step 4

Step 29 : ch 1, cut off & sew ends.

Step 30 : Add small tassels of your preferred size and color.

Step 31 : Your scarf/muffler is ready to use!!!
