Face Mask Crochet

Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. This mask I did in March 2020, when Corona virus was at the starting stage in Kuwait. I felt with replaceable filter was good. And for ears, added elastic, so that it will be easy to wear. So let's get started.

Crochet Terminology:

sl st - slip stitch
sc- single crochet
dc- double crochet
 tr- treble crochet
hdc- half double crochet
ch- chain

hook: 4.5mm

Written Pattern:

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by 35 chains.

Step 2 : Skip 1 chain & start doing 1 SC in each of the 6 chains.

Step 3 : 1 HDC in each of the next 6 chains.

Step 4 : 1 DC in each of the next 10 chains.

Step 5 : Now the reverse, 1 HDC in next 6 chains, 1 SC in the next 6 chains.

Step 6 : We need to continue the above pattern for 12 such rows.

Step 7 : ch 1 & turn. Repeat steps 1 to 5 in back stitch.

Step 8 : Sew the elastic to the sides.

Step 9 : Now for the filter replaceable, join the new yarn, in the 10 DC portion & continue doing it for                 10 rows( 1 DC in each of the 10 stitches).

Step 10 : Ch 1 & slipstitch to the top portion.

Step 11 : Can keep a filter in that place & use.

Step 12 : Filter replaceable  face mask is ready!!!

Hope it was easy to understand and crochet. Please share your valuable comments which would help me a lot.

Thank you for your visit!!!
