Hi friends, welcome back to my blog. This is my 2nd video. A very simple Granny Square Crochet. 

We mostly need granny square for some basic projects. May it be a blanket to an organizer. Its very easy to make too. There are many granny square from basic to next level too.

When it comes to basic level, when I started as a beginner, i did many granny squares. I made bag organizer, letter organizer , pot holder , and so on. 

So granny squares are very handy in many projects. As well it's easy to crochet too. Beginners start with big crochet hooks.

So without further delay, let's jump in. 

Crochet Terminology:

sc- single crochet 

dc- double crochet 

ch- chain

Written Pattern:

hook: 4.0 mm

  

Step 1 : Slipknot, followed by ch 6.

Step 2 : Slip stitch to the first ch to form a circle.

Step 3 : Row 1 : Ch 3, this is considered as the 1st DC.

Step 4 : 2 DCs

Step 5 : Now ch3, this is corner stitch.

Step 6 : 3 DCs in that middle space.

Step 7 : Continue Step 5 & Step 6, twice, till end of row 1.

Step 8 : Ch 3 & slipstitch to the 3rd chain of the 1st 3 chains.

Step 9 : Row 2 : Ch 3

Step 10 : ch 1

Step 11 : 3 DCs, ch3, 3 DCs in the corner space.

Step 12 : ch 1. Now do 3 DCs, ch3, 3 DCs in the corner space.

Step 13 : Continue Step 12, till end of row 2.

Step 14 : Now do 2 DCs & slipstitch to the 3rd chain.

Step 15 : Row 3 : ch 3( considered as 1st DC), followed by 2 DCs.

Step 16 : ch 1( this is the space between 2 sets of 3 DCs).

Step 17 :  Continue doing 3 DCs, ch3, 3 DCs.

Step 18  : Continue doing Step 15 , Step 16 & Step 17, till end of row 3.

Step 19 : Row 4 : ch3, ch 1.

Step 20 : (3 DCs, ch 1, 3 DCs) do this for normal spaces.

Step 21 : For corner stitch ( 3 DCs, ch 3, 3 DCs).

Step 22  : Continue the steps 20 & 21, till end of row 4.

Step 23 :  Granny Square Crochet ready. You can continue the rows using the above steps.
